    SKIN CARE & COSMETICS

My underarms have feelings too.Regina IPL hair removal treatment.

Whoever decided that women should shave their underams must have an underarm as smooth as the face.

Today I had my first IPL underarm hair removal treatment and I’m very happy that I went to Regina at Suntec City, Singapore.
I’ve been meaning to get an underarm laser hair removal treatment and finally I got the time and the courage to give it a go. Due to  positive reviews, I decided to book my underarms a date with Regina. Regina is the solution to every “it’s-hard-being-a-woman” dramas,  specializing in hair removal to almost every part of a woman’s body. I was extremely excited to have my first laser treatment and Regina have met my expectations, from customer service, place hygiene, specialist, treatment proper, reasonable charges to patient care. I especially like the way the specialist explained the process of getting IPL-ed, plus they’re not pushy for sales at all.

They do check important aspects of your lifestyle and health history before  deciding whether or not you’re fit enough to undergo treatment. I appreciate this process.

I was attended by Michelle. She was very nice, polite and honest. It was very comfortable talking to her about hairy topics.

After the consultation, I was given a few minutes to think through things and this time I felt sad for the poor little hairs I plan to destroy for the rest of my life. To sign or not to sign:

And I did sign, but of course! Fast forward to where I bid my hairs ba-bye ~ the treatment room. Whatever happens inside this room stays in this room. Michelle was also my therapist, explaining to me every application to keep me relaxed. I was asked to change my upper garment and wear what looked like a pair of goggles.

How did it feel? A lot of rubber band snapping and heat sensations! The whole  pinching feeling was tolerable and it only lasted 5 to 7 minutes.

After the first treatment, Michelle advised me not to shave, pluck or epilate. The hair will still grow but will ‘fall off’ on its own. I will need to have 4 to 6 sessions before my superunderarms become totally bald. Continue Reading

The day I Met Mother Teresa. Visiting Kolkata India

The day I Met Mother Teresa. The day I lost 10K. The police chase.

November 6, 2011 ~ the day I genuinely felt and met the presence of Mother Teresa inside her house in Calcutta (Kolkata), India.

This meaningful experience made me reflect about the way I live and see the world. It’s always humbling to consider life in someone else’s shoes. I was left speechless and grateful about the way things are. At 26, I’ve still got so much more spiritual journeying to do and take more part in giving and sharing. In this journey, I have seen pain. I have seen love. I have seen gratitude. Right away, I knew this would be a completely different experience. One that has made me smile just after making me cry. More importantly, I’ve begun to see prayer in a new way.

The moment Mysh and I decided to go to Calcutta, I knew I wasn’t ready.  A spiritual journey is very necessary to me but I wanted to give it due importance. I wanted to give it “the whole of me” baggage-free. We know Mother Teresa as the woman who worked so hard for the cause of humanity. I wasn’t ready to meet this kind of person. As I said I’ve still got so much more inner journeying to do. But I realized we’re all on a spiritual journey. We’ve all been on our own paths, our own explorations, our experiences – both good and bad. It doesn’t really matter who I was a year ago, or even yesterday. What matters is I am always trying to become a better version of myself everyday. Continue Reading

Once again Google has challenged us “mortals”

So….Google Engage South East Asia Kick-Off was yesterday and it was a SUCCESS.

Atleast 5 high caliber speakers plus Googlers were there to confuse my mind about The Big AdMo Shift, the ReMarketing Strategy and a lot of meaty discussions that left me scratching my head.

Well, I’m Feeling Lucky 🙂 Gahaha

The training was a good kick for me to keep learning, to desire improving my strategies and to master The Google Learning Center (long overdue!). This time I will allocate more time for my Google studies so that next year (2012) I will pass my advanced certifications and make my parents proud.

That’s me down there making my stomach proud

Google ReMarketing Strategy a.k.a ReTargeting is an interesting tactic. Thanks to David Booth for making things easier to absorb. Basically, it’s about re-engaging past visitors to one’s site and allowing the advertiser to show the same/different ads to the same customer who previously clicked but failed to purchase the first time or follow through with their transactions. Incredible INDIA

Traveling to India is WOW…..a beautiful, multi-faceted and fascinating country. We were infatuated with the well-preserved culture, their clothes, gestures, majestic mountains, spectacular temples, marvels of the Himalayan peaks and many other things that are completely new to us.
We made a lot of wonderful friends and the experience was uh-mazing. They say there are two kinds of travelers: the ones who have been to India and the ones who haven’t. India is LOVE.

I invite you to watch our India travel video above as motions, pictures and not words can best describe our one of a kind India travel experience. Have fun!

HIMALAYAS – where earth meets sky

So beautiful for a moment I thought I had died.

    And we made it! witwiw

Meet the breathtaking, majestic snow-capped Himalayan mountains in Rohtang Pass. Separating the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau, Rohtang Pass is only open to visitors from May to November (lucky us!) every year. For some months it remains out of bounds for tourists due to its dangerous snowstorms and blizzards. This is the first time Im actually using the word “blizzards”. Twice now!

    a

Situated 51 Km away from Manali in Himachal Pradesh State of India, Rohtang Pass is wrapped in snow all year round and it is popularly described as The Switzerland of India.

The total number of hours (land travel) our ambitious selves took to reach Himalayas Rohtang Pass peak was tadaaaan…24 hours!
we’re not exactly highly energetic at that…hehe..The drive leading up to Rohtang pass is a difficult experience and may cause heart palpitations so its a must to hire a very experienced local driver.

So far, this is the most exhilarating and downright terrifying experience of my life. The beauty of Himalayas can’t be described in a few adjectives. Continue Reading

    OPERATION HAPPY VIBES

Operation Happy Vibes at Calcutta, India

You don’t have to go to India. Calcutta is all around you.

We must find our own Calcutta. This is the hunger that you and I must find, it may be in our own home.

Maybe in our own family we have somebody who is feeling lonely, who is feeling sick, who is feeling worried.

Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the action that we do. – Mother Teresa Continue Reading
