I have never really paid attention to clay mask or mud clearing treatment until I started using GlamGlow, and I have never really been TOO eco-conscious, TOO organic when it comes to skin care choices until Innisfree happened. It’s not easy to look good and go green at the same time but thanks Mother Earth for the influx of eco-friendly Korean skin care brands.
My first Innisfree experience started with a nail polish. I got convinced.
Today I will be reviewing one of their bestsellers Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask and how my skin was instantly in love with its natural ingredients. ..and no, this isn’t a geology lecture.
The price is 21SGD (100 ml) and that’s a lot cheaper than other clay masks like GlamGlow.
From the overall packaging alone, I can clearly tell why this is one of their steady bestsellers.
On the official product description, Innisfree tells us that:
Jeju volcanic clay is made with the Jeju volcanic mineral from the explosion of Jeju volcano. It’s an alkalescence resource, categorized as a preserved resource, and is effective in removing sebum and other impurities. (Contains 6,020mg of Jeju volcanic clay)
Okay stop right there geology. While it might seem weird to put volcanic ash or eruption remains on our faces, these earthy ingredients are rich in minerals that work overtime to absorb natural sebum, scrub away dead skin and clear pores.
Alright let’s do this, Jeju volcano on my face!
holy volcano please revitalize this woman’s skin and make it look supple at all times…..a closer view, just because….
I leave it on f0r 15 to 20 minutes. The clay was rather thick and surprisingly easy to apply. I didn’t feel any cooling effect as what most people felt while it was drying. Perhaps I’m a much colder creature/material than the clay. So yeah, let’s rinse it off and tadaaaa…..
Wow I am my mother’s daughter.
What I like the most?
- my nose is very clean I can now bid nose strips and painful peel off mask goodbye
- my pores are behaving well after this volcano mask treat
- no stiff or spiky feeling while the clay is drying
- overall my face looks clean and supple
What I don’t like the most?
- my veins become more visible…well we can always blame this to genetics. I am my mother’s daughter.
There ya go lovelies, my final verdict is that it does purify the skin especially the pores. I will be using this regularly for the next few weeks along with my papaya and milk soaps. I shall update you with hopefully a magical transformation. Let’s not hope too much for the visible veins though.
I recommend you try this clay mask out or you can ask a free sample first to make sure that it is suitable for your skin type. By the way, Innisfree membership is free for a minimum purchase of SGD20. You will also get these free welcome treats:
