I wonder why this skincare line is underhyped. I also wonder how they had me at their “Green Fire Extinguisher” marketing tagline. 😛 Truth be told I think that’s exactly what this set does – to extinguish existing flaming zits or destroy the hopes of the ones lurking from under the skin. If that is the answer you are looking for, then yes, go ahead and proceed to checkout that cart. I do highly recommend Nacific’s Green Pair Plus Serum and Toner combo. This line does what it claims to do. Just don’t expect results overnight. I used the combo for at least a week (morning, noon and evening) and my zit started to calm down by the 3rd day. Honestly, Klairs Midnight Blue cream does that as well (even faster), however, the skincare junkie in me always try to curate a mix as long as I check the ingredients first.
7-Free System:
NO parabens, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, talc, triethanolamine, imidazolidinyl urea, polyacrylamide
NACIFIC GREEN PAIR TONER (150 ml)
After double cleansing with Klairs Oil and Foaming Cleanser, I apply a generous layer of Nacific Green Pair Toner using cotton pads and then gently tap my face for a good 10 seconds. I honestly don’t get what the gentle tapping is for but let’s just say you are actually typing the password unto your skin for it to absorb the product. Anyway, make sure to shake the bottle first as it contains porous powder which helps control excess sebum (now this I know 😛 ).
The toner itself is specially formulated with my favorite Centella Asiatica extract and some other genie ingredients like madecassoside, ceramide NP to help in soothing and hydrating the skin. I have highly sensitive skin and did not experience any adverse reactions or any tingling sensation when using this toner for the first time.
NACIFIC GREEN PAIR SERUM (50 ml)
Ah serums, much like the main course of any skin care regimen. Formulated to penetrate deeply into the skin, Nacific Green Pair Serum is best applied after the toner. I like how lightweight this serum is and its smell reminds me of Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum. Okay what makes this the S.O.S. of sensitive skin is that it contains high amount of Green CICA.
The ingredient or the beauty lingo CICA is having a moment right now. It is claimed to help reinforce the skin’s barriers while calming irritations or redness and promoting skin repair. What every sensitive skin type dreams are made of. Don’t be surprised if you see lots of Centella Asiatica marketed as a core secret sauce in most beauty products this year. Anyway back to my Nacific Green Pair review, I’m sure everyone’s mileage will vary but if you’re looking for a straightforward approach to calming hormonal zits (which is the case for me) I recommend using Nacific Green Pair Plus combo. I learned this set has been renamed to Fresh CICA Plus but formulation stays the same.
There ya go lovelies! In my previous post, I promised to blog about my full skincare routine and yes that will be up soon. Thank you once again, don’t forget to double cleanse 😛
